Politicians mainly take a position that is palatable enough to get elected/re-elected..... only a few are sincere enough in their beliefs to take a hard stand on the issue.

I am not a politician so here is mine:

Aborting a baby at any point is premeditated homicide, just as executing a convict is premeditated homicide. Both should be banned.
