attempting to destroy was 100% correct. When Sam was cut there were articles all over the internet claiming it was homophobia when in reality he was an undersized 7th round pick who had a very slim chance of ever making it. It played out exactly as the guy predicted.

If anything his coming out made it more likely they be made a team because the Rams didn't really want to be the team that cut the first gay player.

None of the quotes were bashing him for being gay. They were bashing the fact that his announcing he was gay had absolutely no bearing on his ability to play football.
