pick up rosin bag
toss rosin bag in the air and juggle it on the back of your hand
look in the outfield
look in the dugout
look at 3rd base
walk back on mound

batter gets set
calls timeout
steps out of batter box
looks at 3rd base coach
looks at outfield
adjust the batting gloves he adjusted less than 20 seconds ago
adjust the 20lbs of armor he's wearing
step back into the box

pitcher throws to first base for a pickoff attempt.
