some are fine with that and view conference affiliation (money) as more important than our competitive realities. Since joining the SEC our level of competitiveness has declined rather than improve and not just against SEC competition. Despite significant increases in funding and facilities our product hasn't gotten better. As evidenced by getting rolled at K-State last year.
Our choice is to continue to be handsomely paid bottom feeders in the SEC (no different than our scheduled/paid wins over the SEMO's and South Dakota's) or move to a conference where we can compete on a more level playing field.
Our transition to the SEC was thought to boost recruiting as we could offer recruits an opportunity to play against the best of the best, however over time that's proven not to be the case.
We've made our choice to be (along with Vanderbilt) the SEC football version of the Washington Generals and likely will be for the foreseeable future.
