At least in St. Louis the crime is limited to 2 relatively small areas in the City of St. Louis.

In KC, it’s everywhere & widespread. More overall crime too.

The outer 80% of St. Louis’ MSA (its suburbs) is ranked as the 2nd safest in the US according to FBI statistics. You can’t say anything like that about KC. There aren’t really any nice areas.
