Colorado is in a tough place. They have no in-state recruiting base to rely upon and are not even with 500 miles of a fertile recruiting area. Recruits have to fly to visit or attend school there.

The PAC12 is falling apart. Their top schools are going to the Big Ten. More are about to follow. Colorado does not want to be left holding the bag and hold the last ticket to the Pac12.
