I appreciate you going to that detail.

I’ve read the Old Testament all the way through twice.

I’ve read the New Testament all the way through over 35 times.

When you start your day with a chapter of the Bible each morning - and do that for 32 1/2 years, it’s a great way to start your day - and I stick pretty much to the New Testament.

The Old Testament points to Jesus (including all of the fulfilled prophesies hundreds of years in advance of His birth - including his birth place and his manner of death (crucifixion hadn’t even been invented yet when it was foretold in the Old Testament.)

But for me, the purpose of the Bible is “to know Him and make Him known”.

Also, to love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your souls and all your mind - and to love your neighbor as yourself.
