If there was a guarantee he could recruit in the SEC, sure, even though I don't know if he's an SEC-caliber gameday coach. I know kstate fans gloat over the LSU bowl win, but they were playing 3's and 4's. That was nowhere near the Joe Burrow-level LSU squad. It was their JV. 'Bama was sorely disappointed to not be in the CFP and could've easily hung 70 on you guys, even 75% motivated to have to be playing kstate in a bowl.

The gauntlet of this conference would have kstate so beat up about mid-season, Klieman wouldn't have the same level of success, even though he's really not lit it on fire in his 4 seasons. (2) 5-loss seasons, a losing season, and a (4) loss season. (2) bowl losses. Only once final AP-ranked. Yes, it gets easier bringing in mid-majors into the conference and finally getting out the (2) more talented schools. But I'm sure Klieman isn't complaining about the $5.5 mil.
