That’s not the Ronald Reagan I remember. The Reagan I remember eased hostilities. He was for nuclear disarmament. He talked about how mustard gas was universally banned and the same could be true for other weapons of war. He pulled out of Lebanon after us troops were needlessly attacked there. He talked to Gorbachev and helped him open up and ultimately undo the evil empire. He said “trust but verify” about the Soviets. He wasn’t looking for soviet planes to shoot down in hopes of escalating a war.
