here is the number of each state's top 10 recruits in '23 (according to Rivals) who signed with an in-state school vs. choosing to play out of state:

Average in states with 2 or more P5 programs is 3.7
Average with only 1 P5 program is 3.8
Average with 0 P5 programs is 1.6 (because of Idaho)
