Nearly everyone today has the ability to 'have a voice' in ways that were not available before. And most of these people really don't have the intellect or discipline to handle having that voice.

Having said that, people are dumber today than they were before. We have taught kids how to feel about things rather than how to think about things. Critical thinking is now secondary to strongly feeling. We reward intent over results. We are the worse for it.
