our ancestors did to Native Americans. Conquering them is one thing, but destroying their culture is another. We conquered Germany and Japan, but didn't destroy their cultures (or occupy their lands for eternity). Of course, Native Americans are getting some retribution by taking the white man's money in their casinos.
