A great play can quickly turn into a "fire the dummy coach" when a player fumbles, misses a block, shanks a field goal, moves before the snap, throws a pick 6 etc.
Yes, the coaches are ultimately responsible but I believe, for example, we would all have been commenting on what a great call Drink made to give the ball to Peat on the last play against Auburn had he not fumbled.
