An expanded CFP maximizes money and solves the cupcake problem.
If the SEC wants to give advice on non-con scheduling they should add this little clause: 'For teams with an average rank in the top ten for the last five years.'
The top SEC teams should be encouraged to schedule one or even two non-con P5 games at their discretion.
Leave the rest of us alone. If we decide on our own to schedule P5 good for us.
But the top programs in the country coming around, wagging their finger at the rest of the SEC saying 'you better schedule two P5s or else is madness.'
As for scheduling K-State 'home and away' - bonkers. The only reason GA or Alabama think that's a good idea is because they could get K-State to come and get their brains beat out w/out ever having to go to Manhattan - we don't have that kind of pull and you saw the results.
Like I said, navigating four cupcakes is treacherous enough for us...
