Pinkel implemented the Don James Audubon recruiting model when he came to Mizzou. James sought to lock up Washington and threw everything he could at CA.
PInkel at one time had something like five or six coaches recruiting Texas full time.
When Mizz9uu joined the SEC, Pinkel moved his Texas recruiters to Georgia and Florida.
The thinking was if he recruited talented rich areas where the Tigers played, albeit as a visiting team, he would land more talent from those areas.
Odom moved most of these recruiters back to Texas.
