Relatively few Texas recruits on the roster. Same thing happened late in the Pinkel years as a mistake when strategy shifted more to the southeast. With Texas and Oklahoma coming to the SEC it's a no-brainer to make Texas a priority again. Mizzou's best teams were loaded with Texas players. Daniel and Franklin both Texas QB's.
