In year five of the Pinkel regime the Tigers;
Gave up like 9000 receiving yards to Hank Baskett in a home loss to New Mexico
Lost 13-3 at ku
Blew a second half lead and lost at k state
Were beaten down by Texas and Colorado
Needed a miracle comeback led by a freshman qb to win the HC game over Iowa State
And needed another huge comeback and a tremendous individual effort by Brad Smith to win the Independence Bowl
Did anyone suspect that a 12 win season and back to back north championships were just two years away?
