However, if most of the increased money supply is going to the top 0.1%, then demand will not increase proportionally to the money supply, since the "masses" aren't any richer.
What really drives inflation (as the term is used today) is when the money supply increases and it's distributed "equitably" in a way that increases demand of consumers on a large/wide scale.
