Big pharma has way too much clout.

Many years ago my wife had a bronchial infection. Went to doc and he prescribed what he knew would be effective.
She went to the pharmacy....nope, not on the insurance formulary as a covered drug. So it got switched. Two weeks later she's back at the doc's office and is no better than before. He can't figure it out because he knew what he prescribed should have worked. Then he sees it got changed.
So now he has to switch to ANOTHER drug and add prednisone to the mix. It worked.
Our medical care is being dictated by big pharma and its clout with insurance companies. It's who can get an exec a spot at Torrey Pines for tee time.
Every time you see prime time TV ads for the next best thing when it comes to pharmaceuticals just think how much money that ad costs and how much of it is past to the consumer.
