At least in terms of number of ships. And they are very heavily weighted towards coastal protection of mainland China and not so much long-range fleets like the US Navy. I would think they would be able to put up quite a bit of resistance against a US force in the region. The US would certainly not be able to have an "overwhelming" victory if it came to that. Both side would take heavy losses.
