I would say a number of things

1. Yes...the immigrant labor pool appears to be smaller (or more difficult to access)
2. More people moving to various forms of self employment (probably one of the reasons labor participation rate is lower, as they go into that pool)
3. Massive move out of service jobs (rude customers, poorer pay, less job security..since government can put you out of a job)
Some people are living off savings or debt..others have found ways to make enough through various forms of self employment
Some welfare, but most welfare back to pre-COVID levels.
