Abortion, people dying from covid, etc.

I'd expect their focus to be more on those things and less on a specific candidate. They can't run on issues because largely everything they do makes things worse for the average american. And they don't have a base energizer as you said. Their 2 main heavy hitters (Cuomo and Newsome) were booted from office and got taken to a vote to recall.
