Newsome and the state of California have been overbearing, big state mandating thugs, and Newsome has already shown himself to be a big hypocrite by ignoring the mandates he imposes on others. In this case, California's mandates are yet another a Big Government power grab to punish other states for not conforming to California's perverted view of reality and of trying to pressure them to change their laws to bring them into conformity with California's dictates. They do this by restricting how California government agencies can spend the taxpayers' money. Money that you would claim has been stolen from the taxpayers.
There is still some element of hypocrisy involved whether his trip is funded 100% by himself or 100% by the state of California or some shared percentage with the state picking up the tab for his security or other travel expenses. If it is wrong for Californians to reward Montana by spending tax money there, it should logically be wrong for him to be spending his own money there as well. He's telling the various government employees that they can't go there in their government travels, but he has property there, and likely pays taxes there, buys things there and so on. It is reminiscent of his flaunting of the mask mandates he imposed on everyone else.
It seems to be a pattern with you siding with evil. You are a self-professed proponent of natural law and the non-aggression principle and are an opponent of state exercise of power. California is violating all of those core principles here and yet you immediately jump to his defense. You and the liberal TexJohnson come down on the same side on this one. This same type of scenario has occurred in the past. Evil seems to attract you like a magnet.
