Obviously Gavin & his supporters saw this as a problem, hence their hesitancy to reveal where he was vacationing.
We will have to wait to see if he decides to pay for everything out of his own pocket, or tries to justify it as personal business rather than government business, or perhaps to just try and keep people in the dark.
Of course the real problem is the overbearing government dictating where the various government agencies can spend the money they take from people in taxes. In this case they're adamant that the people should help pressure the people in other states to toe their dictatorial line and go against natural law regarding LGBTQ+ propaganda and violate the non-aggression principle on a grand scale.
One would think that you of all people would be appalled by commie California's power grab, and by the politician's at the top of the state power structure so hypocritically going against the edicts they impose upon others.
But apparently your attraction to evil seems to override your self-proclaimed principles once again.
