That would be fine. I also wouldn’t mind football be divorced from the rest of the AD. USC didn’t join this league to send its softball team to Purdue. I would like to see the rest of the sports join leagues that make sense for the school, sport and athlete. Just take softball and negotiate it’s TV rights as a package and put it on ESPN channels and Eplus and other avenues as its bid out, for example. Kind of run the other sports like wrestling and hockey which are more regional and sport specific. The NCAA umbrella works well enough to sell the tourney rights of most sports. It’s football that has caused this so let the networks put together the teams they want to show so the can sell soap at higher rates during commercials. Or drive subscriptions and carriage rights.
