The money ALWAYS comes from the customers.
So it's not even Hunt's money that's going to Mahomes - it's all the fans everywhere paying - and the advertisers who also ultimately get their money from fans watching the games on TV or listening on the radio.
The NCAA along with willing fanbases created a massive imbalance by allowing the players to become popular entertainers while still being paid next to nothing.
The vacuum created by that reality is now collapsing.
Fan bases which make up the difference can gain competitive advantage over fanbases who simply cry because they can no longer freeload.
So this is either moving day or end of days.
It all depends on what we the fanbase do.
Crying like pussies and making up silly excuses is for losers.
Choose wisely.
