(somewhat) well because they protect us from harm. Obviously that is not true, and they have no duty to do so, but since that misconception exists, it is important to point out instances that underscore that misconception.

This teacher wasn't paid to lock doors or keep the students safe. Forgetting or failing to properly to do something ministerial is part of being human. This is a lot to put on her over what has been alleged to have occurred.
