She didn't say that they were trained in some marxist strategy and tactics. She said, WE ARE TRAINED MARXISTS.

That is, marxists who have been trained.

Logically, it is possible to employ some marxist tactics and not actually be a marxist. I guess.

But that would seem to be a distinction without a difference.
