Players have been coming into upper level DI for years and not just competing but thriving. This notion of players from the Horizon league and not being able to play at this level a lot of that is bogus too. For the most part the good players coming from lower levels perform to the same level of efficiency at the higher level. The difference is usage. When they move up it's more players on their team they have to share the sugar with. I'll use the example of just 3 Mizzou players Kassius Robertson, Dru Smith and Amari Davis. Kassius was able to enjoy the same level of usage as he had in the MAAC because of his team situation. Dru was similar to the point he was an All Conference Player. Amari didn't enjoy the same level of usage as in the Horizon by dropping from an average of about 14 shots to not even 10 per game. If he gets that 14 that he'd averaged his numbers based on his efficiency puts him right where he was in the Horizon league. There are several examples of this from the Horizon (even Cleveland State) and other similar rated leagues recently and through the years. People make these statements without backing them up with verifiable facts just a feeling. To each his source of belief. As someone here said before "Google along with basketball reference is your friend.
