level the playing field between the haves and have-nots.

But now, because of NIL, it will have the opposite effect.

The scholarship limit will, effectively, not apply to the richer schools that can pay their "walk-ons" (via "NIL") compensation packages well beyond the value of a scholarship.

The limit will only actually *limit* the poorer schools with inadequate "NIL" to give "pseudo scholarships" to its walk-ons.

Yet another reason why "NIL" isn't feasible in college athletics.
