There are 4 possibilities regarding killing the being inside the mother via abortion:

1. The being is a human being and we know it.

2. The being is a human being and we do not know whether it is or not.

3. The being is not a human being and we do not know whether it is or not.

4. The being is not a human being and we know for sure that it is not.

-------

Let's look at an analogy.

A man is driving a dump truck and comes upon a cardboard box in the single lane road. He is in a big hurry to meet a deadline and it would be a major hassle for him to stop the truck, get out and move the box. But the box suddenly moved. Perhaps it was a raccoon or some other small animal in the box, or maybe it was a child from the new subdivision still being finished. Or maybe it was just a very weird gust of wind that made it look like perhaps something living was in the box.

If he ran over the box and based on the possibilities enumerated above:

1. He would be guilty of murder

2. He would be guilty of negligent homicide at best

3. He would be guilty of criminal negligence

4. He would be justified in driving over the box... unless he killed an endangered fly or turtle or something, then it could be criminal.

Bottom line is that option #4 would be the only case where he would be justified in running over the box, and rightly so. Everyone, even a liberal can see the logic in that.

In the case of abortion, however, it would be the equivalent of some people running towards the road waving their arms saying that "there's a child inside the box... STOP!!!! STOP!!!!

In reality, there would be medical experts there warning him that there was a child in the box.

But YOU want to run over the box claiming that despite the people warning you and the medical experts unanimously claiming that it is a child, that you know for certain that the being in that box may have a human mother and a human father but you aren't SURE it's actually a human being OR that your right to privacy to run over that box trump's that child's inalienable right to life.

Of course no analogy is perfect. In this case you aren't INTENTIONALLY killing any being in the box, you are just running over it hoping it was just a gust of wind that caused it to move. In an abortion you KNOW that there is a being there and you are INTENTIONALLY KILLING THAT BEING... even though you know that being's mother is a human being and that being's father is also a human being.
