were selected for more than just their position on roe v wade.
Roe in my opinion was very poor jurisprudence. The "right" to an abortion was formed out of whole cloth from the very sketchy right to privacy that they discovered in the constitution a few months prior, for the purpose of attaching abortion to that new found right.
Regardless of how one feels about abortion and the morality of it, the law should be overturned and sent back to the states.
And for the record, abortion is not a hot button issue for me. I would not likely be for for or against a candidate on the basis of their position on abortion.
I think partial birth abortion is murder.
I think post natal abortion is a damnable sin and the for governor of my state of virginia should burn in hell for his action on this.
But i won't pretend to know when life begins and very early abortions while not laudable are not damnable, either.
One man's opinion.
