I will miss watching Tyreek, but the Chiefs used some of the money to get a deep threat and a high level possession receiver. They used the picks to give them flexibility to move up and down the draft. And, they have ended up with almost 2 draft's worth of picks in one year.
I think one can make and argument that Juju, MVS, and Skyy will be more of a threat to good defenses than Tyreek, Robinson, and Pringle.
Veech has done a great job of finding cheap CB's in the past. He seems to have an eye for it, having been a college DB himself. So, how exciting is it that he actually traded up to get a top tier CB?
The rest of the draft was filled with high motor, very physically dominant guys...a DE with a 38" vertical...a 250lb LB with a 40.5" vertical.
I'm 61 years old. The most exciting draft for me was trading up to get mvPMII. This is number 2. I think the Chiefs have set themselves up for another window of success. And, next year, they already have an extra 3rd round pick from the Poles hiring and an extra 4th and 6th from the Tyreek trade. They likely have other comp picks coming from FA losses. While other AFC West teams have gone all in with big spending, the Chiefs are laying the foundation for the next decade of success.
