You are correct that Twitter is the town hall for news and political discussion. That was actually a good thing for a while, it was a one-stop location for the pulse of America.
The problem is that it has been taken over by far-left activists and they have chosen to censor those discussions. Because of this, it has become a self-feeding bubble of leftist propaganda. The mainstream media and especially CNN and MSNBC have gone into a nosedive recently because they have mistakenly relied on Twitter for their direction. They believe that Twitter reflects the beliefs of the populace when in reality it reflects the beliefs of a very insular group of like-minded individuals.
When your platform silences the sitting president while allowing the Taliban, Hammas and the Republican Guard to post at will there are some deep issues that need to be corrected.
