The problem here is less about the issues and more about the pickleites' narcissism and pickle's narcissistic personality disorder.
Rarely is there an actual respectful discussion of the issues, as pickle and friends do little other than insult, pontificate, and mock. This is why people seldom are interested with him. He doesn't discuss. He doesn't explain his positions or his rationale for believing what he says. He only offers other people's writings and expects blind loyalty to it, and if anyone dare question why, it is far too beneath him to give a detailed explanation in his own words. Anyone who thinks a discussion board shouldn't involve explaining their position doesn't really understand the word discuss.
That doesn't mean no humor, but a person should be willing to engage in actual discussion of issues, as opposed to constantly heaping insults on others.

The rules are loosely enforced, but they are still the rules. We should at least make it into the neighborhood of respectful discussion.
