A horrible coach, Kim, wins none of the other games and finishes 10-20.

A bad coach, CM, wins a third of those other games and finishes at .500.

A decent coach wins half of them and finishes 20-10.

A good to great coach wins 2/3rds and finishes with 25 to 30 wins.

In my lifetime we have had one horrible coach and one bad coach at Mizzou. I like the chances of rolling the dice and coming up with, at least, a decent coach next time around.
