You must not know what being intellectually dishonest means.
Putin has taken directly from the Hitler playbook in taking territories because of an alleged ethnic/cultural connection.
Who has influenced or controlled a sovereign nation in its past isn’t a justification. Using that same logic, England would be justified in attacking the US or any of its previous colonies.
HOW the world should respond is a relevant discussion. The politics that influence it are relevant. Ignoring it because an empire that no longer exists used to control it is not.
