sources have called them recently to ask, what the hell were you telling me?

On second thought, that’s really not necessary, as their, “anonymous sources“ were a fabrication that both the journalist and the source knew about. The use of anonymous sources just gives cover to the journalistic malpractice that is a journalism today.
