How many more/less he wins is no longer relevant. We already know he can't do this job. So the question is if MU still cares to try and field a nationally relevant and competitive program - in which case he will not be retained, or if they do not care - in which case he will be retained. There is nothing more he can show at this point to reveal the future direction of the program.
