Luol Deng was way back in 2003 as a recruit, Quin wasn't recruiting those types on his way out. Alden agreed to ban him from off campus recruiting so his final class was Leo Lyons, James Douglas (JUCO), Matt Lawrence (as an academic walkon initially), and Markus Watkins (as a preferred walkon due to his dad being an assistant). He did have a class lined up and committed in 2006 when he quit, but other than Viadotos Volkus (JUCO) they all decommitted and went elsewhere in the coaching transition.
