was central to the loss, but it was a factor.
Bigger factors were getting no points from Williams and Blackwell and Hansen having sub par shooting nights. Against a running, gunning team like Arky, you have to keep scoring to keep up with them, and we had only two effective options yesterday, and that wasn’t nearly enough.
What is very true is we have little margin for error on this team. We need the best 6 players healthy and playing well every game. Beating SC without Blackwell was thrilling, but an anomaly. We just aren’t getting much production after those 6 players. Izzy and Smith are giving us some good minutes and will be key parts of future teams, as will Dorroh who I like also.
We are in a real tough stretch of games now. I probably offended some people by saying in this 5 game stretch after the Auburn win our ceiling was probably 3-2 and our basement was 0-5. Well, we are quite likely to start that stretch 0-2 with LSU looming on the road, so to go 3-2 means sweeping Georgia and TAMU at home and Vandy on the road, a tough task. Although now that TAMU is reeling that game looks a lot more winnable to me.
