If you disagree with the first two premises below, please expound upon where your actual beliefs differ with these and a reasonably full yet succinct explanation of your beliefs in that regard.
1. You rail against arresting criminals, or as you call it, "putting people in cages"
2. You reply that people have a right to defend themselves, but that punishing criminals for their crimes is retribution. That instead they should be subject to voluntary private arbitration. That they should pay the victims for their injuries or losses.
If a genie gave you your wish and eliminated all governments tomorrow morning, and people could join communities or proposed local governments, associations or neighborhood homeowners associations or whatever other organizations they liked but could not be coerced into being under any governmental or other authority against their free will... how would a situation like the one from this news story linked to below be handled in your new Pickletopia?:
Summary: Brinley was having an affair with Nicholas and Sarah. Nicholas got jealous of her relationship with Sarah and convinced Brinley that they should kill her. They beat her with a crowbar & then had sex on Sarah's bed as she lay dying in the living room. Afterwards they stole her car, credit cards & money & took off for Arkansas using her credit cards to fund their getaway.
Of course we all agree that Sarah had a right to defend herself, but unfortunately was not able to do so. Now what?
Police should not have arrested them for their crime? They should not have been put in a cage? Sarah's family should have hired private investigators to track them down and serve them with a request to submit to arbitration to pay back the debts they had run up & pay some restitution for the loss of their family member? What if the culprits refused?
