When he originally mentioned to rask that he was a pagan it wasn't used as an ad hominem insult that had nothing to do with the discussion at hand.

Rask had been giving his interpretation of the scriptures and I think it is legitimate to point out that rask is of a different religion and was not giving an accurate reading of those scriptures.

4Tigs probably does look down on rask's worldview, but as I've noted elsewhere there is a valid reason for that, just as there is a valid reason pagans such as yourself look down on Christians for their world view... you think they are wrong in their beliefs.

I may be wrong, but I believe you have used phrases along the lines of Christians believing in Sky Gods in quite derisive tones during discussions and spoken derisively of and to Christians in these discussions in the past. I would say that from my point of view they were probably more intentionally insulting that 4Tig's use of the adjective "pagan" in his post above.

But that too makes sense from your point of view.

That fact remains, however, that there is an objective truth that would reveal that one or the other viewpoint is correct.

Either there is a God or there isn't.

Either God became man in the Person of Jesus Christ or He didn't.

One of us is way out of line, but neither of us can prove which it is beyond the shadow of a doubt in this life, though I think we have the preponderance of evidence on our side as well as logic... but I know you disagree.
