injury related, won't a year off put him again at the head of the class, ready to repeat his 2020 performance?

Where is he going exactly?

What softer place is going to embrace him correctly so that he gets all that he requires?

The win-win was to do whatever rehab is necessary, double-down on diet, training, film study etc and come back in the spring ready to mow down the competition.

Not running off to Mississippi CC and calling it a win-win.
