Aren't we spending the top half of the SEC for our coach?

I know we were at some point. You can claim we don't care but the fact is we are spending like we care about basketball. We are just saddled with a bad contract for a coach that is failing. That doesn't mean we don't care about winning in basketball. Now if we don't fire Cuonzo at the end of the season and we don't make a good hire, then I'll agree with you.
