And it starts at the very top with the governor of the state, the board of curators and the chancellor and Presidents of these universities. If they want a winner you will have a winner. But if the focus is too much on off the field and off the court type of things you end up having a listing and lurching mess of a program that never quite develops an identity or goes anywhere. It’s like Auburn hiring Bruce Pearl. They wanted a winner and they’re getting it and they don’t care about the media criticism or some of his off the court antics be it by him or his staff.
