plateaued. His system was unique enough that most teams struggled against it but against really great coaches or athletes it failed.

With his system, you could count on top 25 teams that would finish near the top of the league most years. Fans wanted more and were not too upset to see him go. Most would give their left testicle to get the program back to where he had it.
