Per FBI stats, not only does KC have a 3x higher overall crime rate, including violent crime, STL’s suburbs/county (outer 80% of MSA) is ranked the 2nd safest metro area in the country. When the City of STL merges with STL County, it’s crime rate & murder rate drops into the 70s in rankings, while KC remains in the top 5 in both 😄.
Meanwhile, STL becomes the 11th largest city in the country, while KC remains in the mid 30s, smh lol!
