Thoughts from the game

The students showed up in FORCE. They came in numbers and with spirit! I was shocked. It was wonderful to see. And based on tonight’s performance, they will come back.
This team is more athletic and entertaining to watch than last year. They play unselfish .. sometimes too much .. but I like to see that …
Many players impressed me:
Davis - this kid is a leaper, sneaky fast, very smooth game. Maybe out the gate, my favorite.
DeGray - nose for the ball, like a hawk. Double double, I believe. No idea we had a DeGray but this guy is a flat out playmaker. Hope he’s ok amd left the game in the end due to cramps/
Coleman - athletic, in command. Can shoot the ball with no rotation, that’s different, but gets it done.
Keita- this guy will be a beast. Chiseled. High energy. I’m more than fine with him starting over Wilmore. That’s not a dig on Wilmore as much as it is I like Keita in the paint.
I might be missing someone .. a newcomer .. but my way too early and unfair conclusion is this team is better than last years team by a significant margin. Amd they are a million miles more fun to watch.
If the adults would’ve showed like the students showed tonight, it would’ve been 90% full and insane.
UMKC next Monday, I will be back!
