It doesn’t make sense. Outside the expanded child tax credits, the extra jobless benefits have ended.
The labor market has completely changed. More remote jobs, so more good paying jobs available to people in areas they used to not be. We’ve also seen a big rise in retirements over the pandemic, many of whom are baby boomers. So there was likely going to be a labor shortage eventually anyway as more baby boomers retired.
Once again, f*ckin baby boomers are ruining the country
